Osram: reaffirms long-term strategy, maintains dividend
(CercleFinance.com) - Olaf Berlien, Osram's CEO, told shareholders on Tuesday that the German lighting group was continuing to transform into a high-tech photonics company, despite the current headwinds in some markets.
With the second half of the past fiscal year marked by a slowdown in some markets, particularly China, Osram has already taken a number of measures in response to this.
The group's savings targets have been raised from 160 million euros to 180 million euros by 2020.
As was the case last year, shareholders will receive a dividend of 1.11 euro per share.
The Osram share is currently down 1.1% at 39.9 euros.
