Osram: provides lighting system to the NASA
(CercleFinance.com) - Lighting specialist Osram announced on Friday that it will supply the NASA (National Aeronautics and Space Administration) with an adapted version of its smart and connected lighting system for horticulture, Phytofy RL.
Combined with a unique combination of growth LEDs, Phytofy RL will complement the lighting technology used in NASA's food production.
The research associated with this innovation will eventually enable plants to grow during manned journeys into space.
