Osram: confirms optimism; dividend raised at AGM
(CercleFinance.com) - As expected, on Tuesday Osram proposed its shareholders an 11% increase in dividend, saying it was "absolutely convinced of the long-term future success of the company.
"
At its AGM in Munich, the German lighting group proposed a dividend of 1.11 euro per share to mark the company's 111th anniversary, up 11% year-on-year.
The "high tech" company - which is currently increasingly focusing on digitalization and capital expenditure in general - provided a bright outlook at the event.
"The company is on solid financial footing and will continue to consistently implement its strategy," said CFO Ingo Bank.
The stock is currently up 0.5% at 67.6 euros today in Frankfurt, still far from its all-time high reached earlier this year at almost 80 euros.
