Siemens Energy: new operational structure

(CercleFinance.com) - On Tuesday Siemens Energy unveiled a new operational structure, which is particularly designed to improve the transparency of its activities from the point of view of financial markets.

The German energy group, which is holding an investor meeting in Berlin today, says the new organisation will enable it to reduce the complexity of its operations by facilitating decision-making, amongst other things.

Its "Gas and Power" division - whose businesses range from oil and gas production to electricity transmission - will now be formed of three business - namely gas services, energy network technologies ("grid") and industrial transformation.

The integration of Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy (SGRE) - on which the group has decided to launch a takeover bid - will enable it to benefit from the dynamism of the wind energy market.

This new structure will be implemented from the start of FY 2022/2023, i.e. from the beginning of October.

However, all these announcements were pretty much ignored on the Frankfurt stock exchange, where the share price was actually down 0.5% in early trading on Tuesday.
