At around 9:45 am, Siemens Energy shares were trading at 21.55 euros, after hitting a low of 19.21 euros in the first exchanges.
For the record, Siemens distributed to its shareholders 55% of the capital of its energy subsidiary, for which analysts estimated its value at over 17 billion euros.
Siemens Energy - which employs 91,000 people - generated revenues of around 29 billion euros last year.
