E.ON: goes 'green' in latest bond sale

ON has completed a 750 million euro bond issue to help finance environmental projects, the German energy group said on Wednesday.
The utility giant said it was able to secure "favorable" terms, despite the significant market disruptions caused by the Covid 19 outbreak.
The 5.5-year "green bond" has been offered with a coupon of 1%, in an issue that was 8 times oversubscribed to, the group said.
The "green bond" market is currently experiencing strong growth, with new issues that could reach 1 trillion dollars this year, the International Monetary Fund (IMF) says.
