E.ON: E1.5bn green bond issue

ON announced the successful issue of two tranches of green bonds of 750 million euros each; one maturing in August 2024, bearing a coupon of 0%, and another maturing in February 2030, bearing a coupon of 0.35%.
"The high level of demand enabled E.ON to secure favorable interest terms across both maturities," said the German energy company, saying that the transaction was executed by an international bank consortium.
As a fixed interest rate bond, the green bond enables investors to participate in the funding of E.ON's sustainable investments, with revenues earmarked for its sustainable infrastructure and energy efficiency projects.
