E.ON: signs wind energy collaboration deal in Japan

ON and Japanese renewable energy producer Kyuden Mirai on Monday said that they have signed a cooperation agreement to jointly develop offshore wind projects in Japan.
The deal will start with a study to jointly select a project for the development, construction and operations in the Kyushu area, the southernmost island of Japan, the companies said in a statement.
Kyuden Mirai is already developing an offshore wind farm project in Kyushu and is studying opportunities for new offshore wind projects throughout Japan.
E.ON and Kyuden Mirai said that they may consider expanding their partnership to other regions.
