E.ON: starts building wind farm in Texas

ON has started to build a new wind farm in Texas, a 220-megawatt project that will be commissioned this year.
The first foundations for the turbines of the Cranell wind farm have been cast in Refugio County, the group has said.
Cranell will be powered by 100 turbines from Danish manufacturer Vestas and will generate enough electricity for over 66,000 households.
With the project, E.ON now has a total capacity of more than 3,000 megawatts of wind power in the state of Texas.
