E.ON: 33 percent acceptance rate for scrip dividend.

ON said on Friday that it will issue almost 15 million shares for its 2016 scrip dividend.
Essen-based E.ON said in a statement that the participation rate for the scrip dividend was 33% compared to 37% in 2014 and 2015 respectively.
"The positive response shows that our shareholders appreciate the instrument of the scrip dividend," said CFO Marc Spieker.
The scrip dividend represents around 107 million euros.
E.ON shares will be delivered on 7 June, while the remaining dividend, which totals around 345 million euros, will be paid in cash.
