Bayer: partnership for Parkinson's disease
(CercleFinance.com) - Bayer announced that its wholly owned and independent subsidiary, BlueRock Therapeutics LP, will work with Rune Labs and Emerald Innovations, specialists in wearable and invisible contactless digital health technologies, to improve Parkinson's disease monitoring and data collection in clinical trials.
Currently, monitoring and data collection in Parkinson's clinical trials combines subjective patient reporting tools such as diaries and questionnaires with periodic neurological and mobility assessments in a clinical setting that only capture a specific moment in time.
This approach does not provide a complete, real-time picture of the progression of the disease and the impact of a patient's daily experience with Parkinson's symptoms.
