Bayer: completes sale of prescription dermatology business
(CercleFinance.com) - Denmark's LEO Pharma has completed the acquisition of Bayer's prescription dermatology business, the companies said in a statement on Tuesday.
With this divestiture, the German life sciences and pharmaceuticals group said it now plans to strengthen its focus on its core over-the-counter (OTC) drug business and its consumer health business.
Meanwhile, LEO Pharma is gaining new treatment range in acne, fungal skin infections and rosacea.
The companies first announced the proposed deal in July 2018.
