Bayer: to invest 92 million euros in animal health plant.

(CercleFinance.com) - Bayer will invest 92 million euros through to 2021 in its German production site in Kiel to further grow its animal health business, the company said on Monday.


This particularly aims to strengthen the growing business in the pet segment, added the German drugmaker, which made sales in animal health of around 1.5 billion euros last year.

Bayer also announced today that a first patient was enrolled in a phase III clinical study program which will investigate vilaprisan in women suffering from uterine fibroids.

Finally, the firm said that new data from its portfolios in thrombosis and hematology will be presented at the International Society on Thrombosis and Haemostasis (ISTH) congress, which will be held from 8 to 13 July in Berlin, Germany.
