BASF: signs agreement with Samsung Heavy Industries
(CercleFinance.com) - BASF and Samsung Heavy Industries (SHI) will collaborate on an evaluation of the feasibility of CO2 capture on board marine vessels using BASF's OASE blue technology for flue gas applications.
Both parties have signed a Memorandum of Understanding on Onboard Carbon Capture and Storage (OCCS) technology at the Gastech 2022 trade show in Milan, Italy.
BASF will provide support with its expertise in floating liquefied natural gas (FLNG) and its OASE blue technology. SHI will assess the feasibility of installing the gas treatment technology on board maritime vessels.
