BASF: names new chairman of executive board.
(CercleFinance.com) - Martin Brudermüller will succeed Kurt Bock as chairman of BASF's board of executive directors, effective from May 2018, the German group said on Thursday.
Aged 56, Martin Brudermüller is currently vice chairman of the board of executive directors. He is also the chief technology officer of the chemical giant.
BASF requested that Kurt Bock be elected as a member and chairman of the supervisory board in 2020, after a statutory cooling-off period of two years, so that the company can continue to benefit from his "expertise and experience."
The board of executive directors will now consist of seven members, instead of eight, BASF said.
