Linde: revenue and earnings grow; outlook confirmed.
(CercleFinance.com) - Germany's Linde posted higher nine-month revenue and earnings on Friday and confirmed its outlook ahead of its planned merger with US peer Praxair.
The industrial gases group this morning said that operating profit from continuing operations rose by 3.8% to 3.15 billion euros in the period from January to September.
Group revenue from continuing operations in the first nine months of the year totalled 12.86 billion euros, 2.7% more than the revenue for the same period last year.
The company confirmed its 2017 outlook, saying that operating profit after adjusting for FX factors would be up to 7% higher than in 2016.
It also said that it has already received 4 of the 24 approvals required from antitrust authorities for its planned merger with Praxair.
The Linde stock was the sharpest gainer on Germany's DAX index this morning, adding 2.6% to over 188.3 euros after the news.
