Munich Re: finance chief to retire at year-end
(CercleFinance.com) - German reinsurer Munich Re said on Tuesday that it has appointed Christoph Jurecka as its new chief financial officer.
Jurecka, who is 43 years old and since 2011 has been the CFO of Munich Re's primary insurance subsidiary ERGO Group, will replace Jörg Schneider, who turns 60 this year and will retire at the end of the year.
Jörg Schneider—who has served on Munich Re's Board for more than 18 years—is currently the longest-serving CFO among the DAX 30 companies.
