Allianz: EU clears acquisition of Porterbrook
(CercleFinance.com) - The Commission has cleared the acquisition of joint control of Porterbrook by Allianz Capital, AIMCo, Dalmore and Generation.
Porterbrook supplies all types of railway rolling stock and associated equipment to UK passenger and freight train operating companies.
Allianz Capital is the Allianz Group's in-house investment manager for alternative investments, which focuses on direct investments, renewable energy and indirect private equity investments.
The Commission concluded that the proposed acquisition would not raise any competition concerns as Porterbook has no actual or planned activities in the European Economic Area.
