Allianz: new investment in Japan.
(CercleFinance.com) - Allianz has finalised an investment of 83 million euros (100 million dollars, or 11 billion Japanese yen) in the Redwood Japan Logistics Fund II, a develop-to-core fund denominated in JPY, which is focused on assets located in Japan.
Allianz Real Estate has made this investment on behalf of three Allianz Group companies, which represents the group's first investment in logistics assets in Japan.
Rushabh Desai, CEO of Allianz Real Estate Asia-Pacific said that this, coupled with an attractive yield spread and relatively low development risks, are the reasons that have convinced Allianz to focus on the Japanese logistics sector as an integral part of a balanced portfolio, alongside ESR, with the group being one of the most active logistics players in the area.
