Lufthansa: shares new details of restructuring plans
(CercleFinance.com) - Germany's Luthansa on Tuesday unveiled a second set of measures as part of its restructuring program in the wake of the coronavirus crisis.
In detail, the resolutions adopted by the executive board include 1,000 layoffs in administrative posts at the airline group, while the number of management roles will be reduced by 20%.
Due to the long-term impact of the pandemic, Lufthansa previously estimated a personnel surplus of at least 22,000 full-time positions, even in the period following the crisis.
