Lufthansa: October passenger traffic up 16.7 percent.
(CercleFinance.com) - German airline group Lufthansa said on Thursday that it carried 12.
2 million passengers in October, up 16.7% on last year's figure.
Lufthansa, which includes Eurowings (including Germanwings) and Brussels Airlines, said that so far in 2017 it has welcomed around 111 million passengers on board its planes, which is already more than in the whole of 2016.
In terms of available seat kilometres, October passenger traffic was up 11.6% year-on-year.
Lufthansa Group added that the monthly passenger load factor - a measure of passenger aircraft utilisation - improved by 0.4% to 81.4%.
