Volkswagen: E22.5bn operating profit in 2022
(CercleFinance.com) - Volkswagen Group today announced its 2022 results.
BEV deliveries increased by 26% in 2022. The group is still the BEV market leader in Europe and increased deliveries in China by 68% in 2022.
Total deliveries decreased by 7% to 8.3 million vehicles. Operating margins before special items increased to 8.1%. Operating profit before special items was 22.5 billion euros, up 13%.
The Automotive Division's net cash flow decreased to 4.8 billion euros.
With a high order backlog of 1.8 million vehicles and a unique product portfolio, the group expects the supply chain bottlenecks to be gradually resolved in 2023.
The automotive division's net cash has increased to 43 billion euros at end-2022, supported by the IPO of Porsche AG.
