Equipped with 4MOTION all-wheel drive, the 235 kW (320 hp) Golf R Estate is described as the perfect combination of a compact Golf R and a spacious estate car, i.e. combining sportiness with everyday practicality.
The company says the new R Estate is available with R Performance, an optional feature that distributes power between the front and rear axles as required, but also between each rear wheel via a new differential.
