Volkswagen: Kuka wins order for all-electric microbus
(CercleFinance.com) - Industrial robot maker Kuka announced late on Wednesday a "major order" for the production of the ID.

The Augsburg, Germany-based company said it will be responsible for the planning, delivery, assembly and commissioning of a fully automated body shop system for the all-electric microbus.
Process technologies, such as resistance spot welding, bonding, nut and stud
welding will be used in VW's production lines, the group said.
Kuka said that its so-called "rack changers" will also be used to supply car body components to the production line.
