Volkswagen: opens three plants in China
(CercleFinance.com) - In a statement made late on Monday, the Volkswagen Group said that it plans to open three new factories in China.
They will be based in Qingdao, Foshan and Tianjin, respectively in the Shandong and Guangdong provinces, and the Jing-Jin-Ji megalopolis.
The plants will produce more SUV and electric vehicles for the local market.
The Volkswagen Group plans to introduce some 40 new clean energy vehicles in China within the next decade.
