(CercleFinance.com) - On Thursday Germany's Volkswagen said that group vehicle sales jumped 8.
2% in October on the back of strong demand in Asia.
Global sales of cars, sport-utility vehicles and vans increased to 940,800 last month, from 869,900 in the same month last year, the Wolfsburg-based group said in a statement.
In particular, October deliveries in the Asia-Pacific region increased by 8.6% to 424,000 vehicles.
Unsurprisingly, China again posted the region's most striking performance, with 398,100 vehicles delivered, up 9.4%.
