Volkswagen: worldwide deliveries up in 2019

In a shrinking global market, the brand therefore increased its market share. Volume growth was achieved in Europe, South America, Asia-Pacific and the United States.
In Europe, Volkswagen delivered 1,763,800 vehicles, up 0.9%. In Western Europe, 1,496,200 vehicles were delivered to customers, up 1.8%. With a 5.3% increase, growth was even more pronounced in the German domestic market, where 569,900 customers were delivered. However, in Central and Eastern Europe, deliveries fell by 4% to 267,600 vehicles.
Compared to the previous year, customer interest in electrified models has increased significantly. More than 80,000 electric vehicles were delivered, representing an increase of around 60%.
