thyssenkrupp: German union approves Tata deal
(CercleFinance.com) - thyssenkrupp said members of trade union IG Metall have finally given their approval for the German industrial group to combine its European steel operations with India's Tata Steel in a joint venture deal.
Announced in September, the joint venture aims to create a leading European flat steel maker having pro-forma sales of roughly 15 billion euros and around 48,000 employees.
