Siemens: acquires the French startup Wattsense
(CercleFinance.com) - Siemens today announced that its Smart Infrastructure Division, responsible for the development of smart and scalable infrastructure, has completed the acquisition of French startup Wattsense.
Based in Lyon, Wattsense offers an innovative plug-and-play system dedicated to the IoT management of small and medium-sized buildings, optimising the technical management of these sites.
For example, Wattsense enables better practical energy management in buildings (schools, offices, warehouses, retail stores, etc.) via a connection to the cloud and a software-as-a-service (SaaS) model.
Siemens Smart Infrastructure currently has a portfolio of 150 digital applications and offerings and has set a target of doubling its digital revenues by 2025 from 700 million euros to 1.5 billion euros.
