Siemens: could raise stake in Siemens Gamesa
(CercleFinance.com) - Siemens would like to buy Iberdrola's 8% stake in Siemens Gamesa, Bloomberg says.
This transaction would therefore increase its stake from 59% to 67%.
The German group could pay a premium over the current price and consider buying out all minority shareholders, Bloomberg adds.
This decision would be part of a rationale to simplify structures, with Siemens' stake in Siemens Gamesa set to be transferred to its Energy division, which is expected to be split next year, Invest Securities says.
Following this rumour, the Siemens Gamesa share rose 8% yesterday, valuing the Madrid-listed group at 14.5 billion euros in terms of market capitalisation and 13.4 million euros in terms of EV, Invest Securities said.
