Siemens: strategic 'mastermind' to leave company
(CercleFinance.com) - Siemens said on Thursday that Mariel von Schumann - the mastermind behind many key parts of its strategic programs - will leave the company in June.
The German industrial group said that the departure of its head of staff, governance and markets follows the successful implementation of the company's new structure as part of the "Vision 2020+" strategy.
After working for the company for 20 years, it is "exactly the right time" to leave, "both professionally and personally," von Schumann said.
She will continue to represent Siemens on the supervisory boards of Siemens India and Siemens Gamesa, the group said.
