Siemens: wins deal to build Brazil power plant
(CercleFinance.com) - German industrial conglomerate Siemens has won a 1 billion euro order to build a combined-cycle power plant in the state of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
Siemens said it has secured an order for the construction of a new plant for the integrated LNG-to-power project GNA 1 of Gas Natural Acu in the Port of Acu.
With a capacity of approximately 1.3 gigawatts, the plant will generate clean energy.
The agreement includes a long-term service deal to operate and maintain the plant, Siemens said.
The plant is set to be commissioned in 2021.
