Siemens: launches gas turbine joint venture with US partner
(CercleFinance.com) - Siemens and its US partner Chromalloy have launched their joint venture Advanced Airfoil Components, aiming to deliver components for Siemens gas turbines at a new, state-of-the-art site in Florida.
The 210,000 square feet Advanced Airfoil Components (AAC) facility will provide a whole range of blades and vanes for Siemens gas turbine fleet, including the newest 9000HL, Siemens said.
The Hillsborough County-based project represents a capital investment of 139 million dollars and will create 350 jobs.
Siemens also announced that its product life cycle management software Teamcenter will now support the eCl@ss standard for classification and product description, one of the most important and most widely used standards for the classification and description of products and services.
