Siemens: closes Mendix cloud platform acquisition
(CercleFinance.com) - Siemens closed on Monday the acquisition of Mendix, a cloud platform that helps clients digitize their operations, eight weeks after the transaction was announced.
The German conglomerate said it now intends to accelerate investments and growth in Mendix's organic business.
The company plans to combine its own digital enterprise software suite with Mendix's low-code application development and the MindSphere IoT ecosystem to create an innovation platform so that small and large organisations can digitally transform their companies.
The Mendix acquisition is part of the company's "Vision 2020+" strategy.
