Siemens: small rail contract in California

(CercleFinance.com) - Siemens Mobility, the German industrial group's rail division, has been designated to supply eight additional trams to the Orange County Transport Authority, which includes the city of Santa Ana in Southern California.


The terms of the deal were not specified.

The contract includes spare parts and tools, as well as a purchase option on up to ten additional wagons at a later date (not yet fixed).

The S70 trams, which will be manufactured in Sacramento, are scheduled for delivery in early 2021.

Remember that Siemens Mobility is in the process of being merged with Alstom, which will give result in Siemens Alstom, which will be the German conglomerate's third listed subsidiary.
