Siemens: partnership in IoT with Alibaba Cloud
(CercleFinance.com) - Siemens and Alibaba Cloud today announced that they have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to become partners in the Industrial Internet of Things (IoT).
"The two companies will leverage each other's technology and industry resources to build a unique IoT solution to support Industrie 4.0, China's manufacturing upgrade and transformation and other industrial Internet initiatives," both companies said in a joint press release.
The collaboration between the companies, which was signed in the presence of Angela Merkel, German Chancellor, and Li Keqiang, the Chinese Prime Minister, begins immediately. This includes the deployment and integration of the Siemens MindSphere solution into the Alibaba Cloud infrastructure in China.
