Siemens: partnership with Northvolt to make batteries
(CercleFinance.com) - To meet growing demand, on Friday Siemens announced a partnership with Northvolt to develop state-of-the-art technology to produce high-quality green lithium-ion batteries.
The German industrial conglomerate will offer Northvolt its digital business portfolio that will digitise the entire value chain, from design to production and services.
Siemens will support this technological partnership with an investment of 10 million euros. It intends to make Northvolt its preferred supplier of batteries after production starts.
