Siemens: starts construction at Austrian hydrogen plant
(CercleFinance.com) - On Monday Siemens said that it has started construction at the world's largest hydrogen pilot plant site in Linz, Austria.
With a capacity of 6 megawatts, this is the most effective and advanced plant for the production of "green" hydrogen at a site that is owned by the Austrian speciality steelmaker voestalpine site.
As an EU-funded flagship project, the plant is set to be fully operational by the spring of 2019.
