Siemens: signs US orders for capacity exceeding 300 MW
(CercleFinance.com) - Siemens Gamesa has announced signing seven PTC (Production Tax Credit) qualifying orders in the US, with a total capacity of 318 MW.
Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy has been awarded these orders for "Safe Harbor Equipment," including new installations and repowering existing ones, which will enable all seven (undisclosed) US customers to qualify their projects for 80% of the PTC. The projects will be up and running by end-2021.

With over 150 project sites in the US, Siemens Gamesa has installed over 17 GW nationwide, representing energy to power over five million homes.
