SAP: kicks off 'SAP.iO' Foundry in Asia
(CercleFinance.com) - On Monday the German professional software specialist SAP announced the launch of a new startup accelerator in Tokyo, the eighth location of SAP's global network of top-tier startup programs.
Over the next 12 months, the "SAP.iO Foundry Tokyo" platform will offer five young tech companies access to the expertise of SAP teams, as well as the group's technological know-how and programming interfaces.
These startups will also be offered opportunities for collaboration with SAP customers, the group said.
Unsurprisingly, the five companies selected all operate in sectors such as artificial intelligence, big data, social networks, content analysis or software as a services (SaaS).
SAP already has several startup accelerators based in San Francisco, New York, Tel Aviv, Berlin and Paris.
