Mercedes-Benz: partners Rivian in EVs
(CercleFinance.com) - On Thursday Mercedes-Benz Vans announced the signing of a memorandum of understanding with the US EV manufacturer Rivian, with which it plans to establish a strategic partnership in the production of electric vans.
Both groups say they want to create a joint venture that will operate a European factory that will assemble the electric vans developed by them in the next few years.
They would use an existing site within the Mercedes-Benz industrial network in Central and Eastern Europe.
