Mercedes-Benz: cooperation in battery recycling
(CercleFinance.com) - Australia's Neometals announced on Friday that its technology joint venture Primobius has entered into a cooperation agreement with Mercedes-Benz regarding battery recycling.
The long-term collaboration will include R&D to enable the recycling of new generation cells.
The partnership also includes a licensing agreement covering staff training, engineering and facilities management for the future Mercedes battery recycling plant.
During the the facility's operational development phase, the German carmaker plans to test the industrial deployment of Primobius' recycling technology.
