Mercedes-Benz: to divest 'Share Now' to Stellantis
(CercleFinance.com) - Mercedes-Benz Mobility and BMW Group announce their intention to sell Share Now, their car-sharing joint venture, to Stellantis.
The three companies have signed an agreement to this effect and have submitted it to the relevant antitrust authorities for approval.
The deal will contribute to the refocusing of the mobility joint ventures of both German car makers on digital multi-mobility (Free Now) and digital services related to the charging of electric vehicles (Charge Now).
With the acquisition of Share Now, Stellantis' mobility subsidiary, Free2move, will be able to further develop car sharing in Europe, thereby meeting the diverse mobility needs of its customers.
