Daimler: E-truck now in series production in Wörth
(CercleFinance.com) - The first series-produced eActros has rolled off the production line at the Future Truck Center at the Mercedes-Benz plant in Wörth, with the official opening of the production line and the start of operations at the largest Mercedes-Benz truck assembly plant taking place yesterday.
Customers have already been testing the eActros since autumn 2018 - since 1 October, they can order the vehicle.
Karin Rådström, said, "The eActros, our first battery-electric truck with a star is starting series production in Wörth today. The vehicle has a very special significance for the Wörth plant and its long-term orientation... We want to greatly expand series production of our electric trucks here".
