Daimler: launches cooperation with BMW in automated driving
(CercleFinance.com) - BMW and Daimler are launching today their cooperation in automated driving, although the partnership is not expected to feature in passenger car systems for private customers until 2024.
Representatives from both companies have signed an agreement for a long-term strategic cooperation focusing on the joint development of driver assistance systems, automated driving on motorways and automated parking.
Further talks are planned to extend the cooperation to automation, in urban areas and city centres.
The cooperation will see over 1,200 specialists work together, generally in mixed teams.
