RWE: extends four windfarms in UK
(CercleFinance.com) - The German electricity company RWE announced on Monday that it has signed agreements alongside its industrial partners providing for the extension of four offshore wind projects in the United Kingdom.
The development of the Gwynt y Môr offshore wind farm off Wales and the Galloper, Greater Gabbard and Rampion farms in the English Channel should represent a total of some 1.8 gigawatts (GW) of additional capacity, the energy group said.
RWE's share alone is expected to reach 900 megawatts (MW).
