Linde: CFIUS approves merger with Praxair
(CercleFinance.com) - Last Friday Linde announced that the Committee for Foreign Investment in the United States (CFIUS) has endorsed Linde's merger with another big name in industrial and medical gases, the American Praxair on 26 April.
The process can therefore continue: in the end, Linde Plc, an entity governed by Irish law, will become the holding company of a group including Praxair, Inc. and Linde AG.
Linde adds that further regulatory approvals have yet to be issued, and that the merger's completion is still expected in the second half of 2018.
