7% in Frankfurt, after the group announced on Friday evening that 90% of its shareholders have approved of the exchange offer of Linde AG and Linde plc shares, therefore reaching the threshold set to validate its merger with the US group Praxair.
An analyst at Aurel BGC said that this merger remains subject to approval by antitrust authorities. Furthermore, the group has not yet taken its decision on a potential squeeze-out.
For the record, last June Linde and Praxair signed the final agreement for a merger between equals. This new Germano-American giant in industrial gasses is expected to post revenues of around 27 billion euros.
