(CercleFinance.com) - Henkel has signed an agreement to acquire Canada's JemPak, a maker of laundry and home-care products, for around 77 million euros.
The German group said the deal strengthens its number two position on the laundry and home-care market in North America.
JemPak - which has annual sales of around 60 million euros and employs about 140 people - is specialised in automatic dishwashing, laundry caps and fabric finishers.
The company, which previously belonged to Toronto-listed consumer goods group Acasta, operates two manufacturing sites.
