Deutsche Telekom: a share exchange with T-Mobile-Sprint?
(CercleFinance.com) - Deutsche Telekom and SoftBank could opt for a share exchange to merge their respective US subsidiaries T-mobile US and Sprint, according to Bloomberg, which cites sources that are closely related to the case.
Bloomberg explains that this option, which has emerged from initial talks between both telecom operators, could enable a funding requirement to be avoided and Deutsche Telekom to pay a premium for Sprint.
However, Bloomberg reports that both parent companies have not yet decided whether or not to merge their subsidiaries, which could each be in talks with other potential merger partners.
